Sewing Project

I finished my latest sewing project this weekend. I ordered this e-book from The Brassy Apple website. One great thing about e-books is delivery is in your inbox and ready to view/print within 24 hours. This e-book was delivered within 2 hours!! Fantastic customer service - and a great variety of patterns and projects on this site. This was the perfect project for me - I love to repurpose and am always looking for new ideas to use fabric scraps.

I took these old worn jeans, cut them to capri length and did some simple applique techniques. The directions were thorough and easy to understand. No pattern pieces - just well written directions with great pictures and lots of variations to make your project unique and one of a kind.

I really wanted to cover the knees as they were very worn but I think I got carried away with flowers. I prefer the "less is more" effect on the back.

I can't wait to try a similar applique process on a zipper pouch or tote!
