It is 9:00 p.m. Maybe Hello Monday should be Goodnight Monday . . . .
I didn't bounce back to work quite as quickly as I had hoped today. But I did get caught up on laundry and got groceries for the week.
Hello to a long weekend in this beautiful cabin in Northern Minnesota.
Hello to visiting Itasca State Park and walking across the Mississippi River.

Hello Monday
Hello to a beautiful sunny morning in Minnesota. It is going to be another hot week. I wish I could bottle up some of this heat and sunshine for December and January!
Hello to new bright orange prints on the NEW Shaggy Bucket Tote quickly becoming my most popular item in the shop.
Hello to planning a fun weekend with our family. No one works for 4 days. We are unplugging. We are going to the libary. We are renting movies. We are going fishing. We are playing cards/games. What is your favorite family activity?
I am linking up with Lisa Leonard Designs Blog today. Have a great week.

I have been making a lot of sandwiches this summer.
Here is a new one to try - and on a stick no less:
Thursday Night Special continues in the SHOP through Saturday or until the totes are sold. Have a great weekend.

A Tote, A Tuesday
I am loving these sweet little zippers!
My original design for these was a small coin purse. See the split ring? you can hook it to your car keys, your lanyard, even a belt loop. Easily holds id, credit cards, cash, earbuds. . . .
They would be perfect for business cards, gift cards, receipts and coupons. These would be the perfect little something - with a gift card tucked inside - for a summer birthday or for your favorite college student!

Hello Monday
Hello to another summer Monday! The girls and I slept in today after a busy weekend. It is 10:00 a.m. and I feel like I will be playing catch-up all day! It is a beautiful morning in Minnesota. It was super hot last week but is a bit cooler this week so I hope to get back outside and walk with the dog this morning.

Fun Friday Finds
This recipe from Joy The Baker looks delicious. I am on a bit of an anti-cereal campaign at home right now - but I think it would be hard to serve chips for breakfast. What I CAN do (and I do this often) is breakfast for lunch or dinner and this would be a great option.
I made these really good Asian Dumplings a few weeks ago which prompted this Sweeter Version this week.
Even in 100 degrees most of this week in Minnesota, this was one of my favorite Pinterest finds.
Oh, and to my UPS delivery guy, I don't know exactly what happened on my porch today between you and my dog with the nervous pee-ing problem, but thanks for the delivery and the dog biscuit!

Fruit and Cream Cheese Wontons
After trying some savory wontons with great success, we wanted to try something sweeter with summer fruits.
Wonton wrappers (found in the produce isle oddly enough)
4 oz. cream cheese (softened in microwave for approx. 10 to 15 seconds
4-6 finely diced strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries (about 2 per wonton)
2 Tablespoons oil heated to med high heat
Mix fruit with softened cream cheese.
lay out 18-24 wonton wrappers
place a scant amount of cream cheese mixture in center of each wonton
use water to seal edges together
lay in hot oil til crispy and brown, turning until all sides are browned
These worked really well. I have read that you can add water to the pan and steam. We did not do this step as they were heated through completely and we like the crunch.. Next time, I may just brush them with oil before cooking in a non stick skillet in an attempt to use less oil. These would be wonderful dusted with powdered sugar or even served with ice cream. My girls were happy with just the great sweetness from the fruit!
