My interest in totes came about as I was making book bags for a local school. Almost every woman carries some type of bag everyday – everywhere. I wanted to create something useful and practical — my choice of materials is what makes a ShaggyBaggy unique.

From nubby, strong, recycled burlap coffee sacks to soft, textured upholstery remnants – every ShaggyBaggy is a unique mix of new, recycled and vintage materials and hardware. For me its about making something new and useful with something that might otherwise be discarded — that’s what makes each bag original.

I take pride in every bag I make. Each bag is designed and crafted with great attention to detail. All work is done by me in my home studio.
